a season of vast changes approaches.
it sees things change but clings to its old habits learned under a lifetime of snow filled sadness.
there is safety to be had in cringing from the cold,
wishing to remain virtually frost-proof, the bud closes itself off
at the slightest hint of winters reprise fearing the scalding frost still.
